Delete Your Void Chess Account

Last updated: June 2026

Overview

This page explains how to request deletion of your Void Chess account and the data associated with it. You can delete your account at any time directly from within the Void Chess app, or by contacting us via email.

How to Delete Your Account (In-App)

The fastest way to delete your account is from within the Void Chess mobile app:

  1. Open the Void Chess app on your device.
  2. Sign in to your account if you are not already signed in.
  3. Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the Profile screen.
  5. Tap Delete Account.
  6. Confirm your choice when prompted.

Once you confirm, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted from our servers. This action cannot be undone.

How to Delete Your Account by Email

If you no longer have access to the app or cannot complete the in-app deletion, you can request account deletion by sending an email to:

voidchessgame@gmail.com

Please include the following in your email:

  • Subject: Account Deletion Request - Void Chess
  • The email address associated with your Void Chess account (the Google account used to sign in).
  • Your in-app username, if you remember it.

We will process your request within 7 business days and confirm by replying to the email you used to contact us.

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

  • Your account profile (Google email, display name, profile picture URL).
  • Your custom username and country selection.
  • Your Void Rating, rank title, and all rating-related statistics.
  • Your PvP match history (move lists, results, opponents, timestamps).
  • Your friend list and blocked players list.
  • Your level progress synced to the server.
  • Any authentication sessions or tokens.

What Data May Be Retained

For technical, legal, or fair-play reasons, some limited data may be retained after your account is deleted:

  • Anonymized match records: Past PvP matches that you played against other users may remain in the opponents' match history in an anonymized form (e.g. shown as "Deleted User"). This is necessary so that other players' records of their own games remain intact.
  • Aggregate leaderboard statistics: Anonymized, aggregated leaderboard data (such as total games played in a tournament) may be retained for statistical purposes, but cannot be linked back to you personally.
  • Server logs: Standard server access logs (IP addresses, timestamps) may be retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention purposes, after which they are automatically deleted.

No retained data will contain your personal identifiers (name, email, photo, username) after the deletion is processed.

Data Stored on Your Device

Some data is stored locally on your device by the Void Chess app (such as your settings, theme preferences, and offline level progress). To delete this local data, you can either:

  • Uninstall the Void Chess app from your device, or
  • Clear the app's storage from your device's Settings → Apps → Void Chess → Storage → Clear storage.

If you have any questions about account deletion or your data, please contact us at voidchessgame@gmail.com.
