Guest Users (No Account)

• Local Storage Data: Game progress, level completion, and settings are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and we have no access to it.

Registered Users (Google Sign-In or Email)

• Account Information: Display name, email address, and profile picture (from Google, if provided).
• Username: A custom username you choose, displayed publicly on leaderboards.
• Country: Your selected country, displayed on leaderboards (optional).
• Game Data: PvP match history, game results (win/loss/draw), move lists, and timestamps.
• Rating Data: Your Void Rating (VR), rank title, rated games count, and win/loss/draw statistics.

How We Use Your Information

• To save your game progress and preferences.
• To provide online PvP matchmaking and real-time gameplay.
• To calculate and display your rating on public leaderboards.
• To display your username, rating, and country on the leaderboard.
• To enable cloud save functionality.
• To improve the Game and fix bugs.

Public Information

The following information is publicly visible to all users:

• Your username
• Your Void Rating and rank title
• Your country (if set)
• Your PvP win/loss/draw record
• Your position on the leaderboard

Data Storage

Guest users: All data is stored locally on your device using browser local storage. We have no access to this data.

Registered users: Account and game data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on Amazon Web Services). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Sign-In: For account authentication. Google's privacy policy applies to data collected during sign-in.
• Supabase: For database storage, authentication, and real-time game communication. Supabase's privacy policy applies.

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to any other third parties.

Cookies and Tracking

We do not use tracking cookies or analytics. We do not track your browsing behavior. We only use browser local storage to save your game data locally on your device.

Children's Privacy

Void Chess is a strategy game suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, you may play as a guest without providing any personal information. If you are under 13 and wish to create an account, you must have parental consent.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure authentication via Google Sign-In and Supabase Auth
• Row-level security on database tables
• No storage of passwords (handled by Google/Supabase)

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Play without an account: Use guest mode without providing any personal information.
• Access your data: View your profile, rating, and game statistics in the app.
• Delete your account: Permanently delete your account and all associated data through the app settings or by contacting us.
• Clear local data: Clear your browser or app storage to remove all locally stored data.
• Request data export: Contact us to request a copy of your personal data.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time:

• In the app: Go to Settings and tap "Delete Account".
• By email: Contact us at voidchessgame@gmail.com.

Upon deletion, all your personal data, game history, ratings, and profile information will be permanently removed from our servers. This action cannot be undone.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized game data (move lists without player identification) may be retained for game improvement purposes.

International Users

Your data may be processed and stored in servers located outside your country. By using the Game, you consent to the transfer of your data to these servers. We comply with applicable data protection laws including GDPR for users in the European Union.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Game after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
