1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Void Chess ("the Game"), including our website (voidchess.com) and mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Game.

2. Description of Service

Void Chess is a free-to-play chess variant game featuring unique mechanics including the Void system, unstable tiles, and the Minister piece. The Game offers single-player modes against computer opponents, local two-player mode, and online player-vs-player (PvP) matches.

3. Account Registration

• You may play as a guest without creating an account.
• To access online PvP features, leaderboards, and cloud saves, you must sign in using Google Sign-In or email/password.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent.

4. Username Policy

• Usernames must be 3-20 characters long and contain only letters, numbers, and underscores.
• Usernames must not be offensive, impersonate others, or violate any laws.
• We reserve the right to change or remove inappropriate usernames without notice.

5. Player Conduct

When using the Game, you agree NOT to:

• Use cheats, exploits, automation software, bots, or any unauthorized third-party tools.
• Intentionally disconnect or abandon games repeatedly to manipulate ratings.
• Harass, abuse, or behave in a toxic manner towards other players.
• Attempt to manipulate the rating system through collusion or match-fixing.
• Create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages.
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Game's servers or services.
• Use the Game for any unlawful purpose.

6. Online PvP Rules

• Each player has 10 minutes per side. Running out of time results in a loss.
• Disconnecting during a game may result in an automatic forfeit after 60 seconds.
• Games that are not started (no first move within 2 minutes) are automatically aborted.
• Rating changes are calculated using the ELO system and are final once a game is resolved.
• Draw offers have a cooldown period after being declined.

7. Rating System

Void Chess uses a Void Rating (VR) system based on the ELO rating method. Your rating changes after each ranked game based on the game result and the rating difference between you and your opponent. Ratings are displayed publicly on the leaderboard.

8. Intellectual Property

All content in the Game, including but not limited to game mechanics, the Void system, the Minister piece, artwork, design, AI engine, sound effects, and source code, are the intellectual property of Void Chess. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Game without written permission.

9. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service.
• Engage in cheating or exploiting.
• Engage in abusive behavior towards other players.
• Attempt to manipulate or disrupt the Game's services.

You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.

10. Account Deletion

You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. To delete your account:

• Go to Settings in the app and tap "Delete Account".
• Or contact us at voidchessgame@gmail.com.

Upon deletion, your profile, game history, ratings, and all personal data will be permanently removed. This action cannot be undone.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Game is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Game will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of bugs. We are not responsible for any loss of data, game progress, or rating points due to technical issues.

12. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Void Chess be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Game, including but not limited to loss of data, game progress, or account information.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Game after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
